May at Rally: Patio Season, Pickleball & Everything In Between
May has a certain energy to it. The grass is greener, the days are longer, and suddenly everyone you know is signing up for something -- a race, a league, a reason to get outside.
The courts are lively, the frozen drink menu is back in rotation, and Henrietta's patio just opened for the season. Charlotte's best month is here and Rally is ready for it. May is packed with events, programs, and experiences designed to get you moving, help you meet people, and make the most of the season. Here's everything happening this month.
Mother's Day Pickleball and Mimosas at Rally
This Mother's Day, skip the stuffy brunch reservation and bring Mom to Rally instead. Moms & Mimosas is a 60-minute pickleball social with complimentary mimosas for all because Mom deserves a morning on the court. Join us on Saturday, May 10th from 11:30 AM to 1 PM. All skill levels are welcome, and sign up as a mother/daughter pair.
After playing, swing over to our sister restaurant Henrietta's, where we're celebrating moms all weekend with a complimentary bubbles toast. Henrietta's patio just opened for the season, and there's truly no better time to make your debut on it than Mother's Day weekend.
Win-win: she gets a great day, and you get to be the favorite child.
Charlotte Singles Events Worth Showing Up For
If you've been on the fence about trying Rally's Singles Social, May is your month. Back by popular demand, Singles Social is one of Rally's most beloved programs. It’s designed for singles who want to connect through pickleball, good vibes, and a little liquid courage (first drink is always on the house).
The format is rotational, meaning you'll naturally mix and mingle between matches without the awkward small talk. Just show up, play, and let the courts do the work.
This month, we're running with two different themes:
May 9: Country Club — Think preppy fits, good energy, and a room full of people ready to meet their match.
May 23: USA Summer — Full summer energy, just in time for Memorial Day weekend.
Both events run from 5 to 7 PM. Come solo. Leave with friends. Or more. No pressure.
Movement Mayhem is Taking Over the Lawn
On Saturday, May 16th, Rally's lawn is transforming into a full-blown wellness festival, and you're going to want to be there.
Movement Mayhem is a morning packed with everything your body and mind could ask for, including fitness classes, massages, chiropractic therapy, physical therapy, stretch services, cold plunges, a live DJ, and a Lululemon giveaway. Whether you come to sweat through four back-to-back fitness classes or spend the morning melting into a massage table, there's something for every kind of person here.
This is the kind of Saturday morning that makes the rest of your week feel lighter. Don't miss it.
Summer Pickleball Leagues for Every Skill Level
Rally leagues are one of the best ways to get consistent court time, meet your people, and have something to look forward to every week. Summer season registration is now open across all skill levels and formats, from Rookies League for beginners to Rally Ranks+ for competitive players.
Whether you're chasing a championship or just want a standing excuse to get on the court, Rally has a league for you. Seven weeks of competition, connection, and good times. Sign up as a team or fly solo as a free agent and we’ll pair you up.
When to Stop By
Summer officially kicks off on May 25th with Rally's annual Memorial Day Round Robin, presented by Hiers Chiropractic. Two back-to-back competitive doubles tourneys, with one in the morning at 10 AM and one in the afternoon at 12:30 PM. Enjoy complimentary chiropractic services on site, and the triumphant return of the Rally Dog on the menu.

The Summer Camp for Kids Who Love to Move
Introducing Rally Rascals Pickleball Club, Rally's inaugural summer camp for kids ages 6 to 13. Week-long sessions run throughout June and July, blending pickleball instruction with activities built around coordination, teamwork, leadership, and even food and nutrition. Lunch is provided daily, and paddles and balls are included.
Age-based weeks mean your camper will be surrounded by kids their own age the whole time. Spots are limited so grab yours before they're gone.
It's Patio Season. Come Outside.
May is stacked, and there's something here for everyone, whether you're showing up to compete, connect, or just soak up a good Saturday on the lawn. The only wrong move is sitting this one out. See you out there.
